Mattie’s on Main, a new restaurant owned by the team behind Wilde Roast Café, will be opening in Riverplace in May.
Construction started right next door to Wilde Roast about a month ago in the former home of Kikugawa on the eastern bank of the Mississippi River. Mattie’s will feature a year-round patio built in the glass atrium on the outside of Riverplace and will have a stage for a variety of live music and entertainment.
The entertainment will create a “dinner and a show” type atmosphere generally offered four or five nights a week.
The menu has upscale pub food: pizza rolls made from scratch, burgers, wings, onion rings, alcoholic shakes and desserts made by Wilde Roast Pastry Chef Jeff Christianson.
Mattie’s on Main is nearing the end of a Kickstarter campaign to help purchase a top-quality entertainment system and retractable windows in the year-round patio.
It will be open 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
