Campers aged 8–14 will make a giant, moveable monster costume

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is offering an end-of-the-summer Monster Camp for kids at Logan Park Aug. 19–23.

Monster Camp is an opportunity to learn paper maché and make a giant, movable monster costume. The camp is free, subsidized by the Logan Park Neighborhood Association, and open to kids ages 8–14.

Angie Courchaine will teach Monster Camp. Courchaine is a dancer and visual artist who has been involved with In The Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre, the BareBones Halloween Extravaganza and Bedlam Theatre.

To register for the camp, go to minneapolisparks.org. Monster Camp is activity #30996. Space is limited.
