The North Loop Dunn Bros Coffee shop Bakery Cafe has moved into its new home in the Dock Street Flats at 337 Washington Ave. N.

The new spot is just a block north of its former location at 3rd & Washington. The cafe reopened Feb. 11. It has also applied for a beer and wine license.

The new space is about 1,600 square feet and once the weather warms up, there will be a 1,000-square-feet outdoor dining area.

The coffee shop has an expanded menu with a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, boxed lunches, soups, salads, pizzas and bakery items.

A new yoga clothing store will also be opening next to the Dunn Bros in the Dock Street Flats.

Dock Street Flats features 185 apartments in two six-story buildings. It's situated next to the Cedar Lake bike and pedestrian trail. Like so many other new apartment projects in the city, it has lots of amenities for residents: two outdoor courtyards, swimming pool and sundeck, fitness center and dog run.

Two new retailers are going into Dunn Bros former home at Third & Washington, according to Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. One will be Shinola — a high-end retailer that sells watches, bicycles and leather goods. The other is Filson, which sells bags and sportswear. No word on opening dates for those stores yet.

The North Loop has become a new hotbed for retailers.
