The East Minneapolis Exchange Club has organized a Community Baby Shower to support organizations working to prevent child abuse.

The fundraiser runs through the end of April, which is Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month.

The club is collecting baby items for the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, Prevent Child Abuse MN, East Side Neighborhood Services' Child Development Center, La Oportunidad and Sheridan Neighborhood Clinic.

There are a variety of ways to contribute: stop at one of the three Pacifier locations (310 E. Hennepin Ave., City Center skyway or 4942 France Ave. S.) and buy an item listed on the Community Baby Shower registry or buy an item online and have it shipped to the list on the registry or drop it off at Siwek Lumber, 2536 Marshall St. NE.
