The $70 million 222 Hennepin project at Hennepin & Washington opened its doors Aug. 15.
It’s a joint venture between Ryan Cos. and The Excelsior Group.
The project includes 286 upscale apartments and will feature a 40,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market, which is set to open Sept. 25, according to Ryan Cos.
The market will be a full-service grocery store with a beer/wine store and a lifestyle center.
Amenities at 222 Hennepin include a Jag Club with a wine room; skyline lounge; fitness club/yoga studio; a rooftop terrace with outdoor pool, bocce ball court, fireplace and grills; and a off-leash dog walking area.
Rents range from $1,100 a month for studios to $2,800 a month for penthouse units. The project is 50 percent leased.
Another apartment project called Velo is under construction next to 222 Hennepin at 103 2nd St. N. The developer behind it is the Opus Group.
