In preparation for another farmers market season, the Northeast Farmers Market will be holding the “(not your typical) Pancake Breakfast,” Saturday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Ukrainian Event Center, 301 Main St. NE.
The fundraising event will break from the typical by offering a cash bar with locally sourced craft cocktails, pancakes from Whole Grain Milling, sausage from Sentyrz and coffee from SIP. The Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Ensemble will perform at the breakfast every hour.
The cost will be $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
The pancake breakfast is in anticipation of the Northeast Farmers Market opening day, which will be Saturday, June 1.
The Northeast Farmer’s Market is a nonprofit formed in 1999 and receives support from a variety of Northeast businesses. The market runs from June 1 until Oct. 19, meeting every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot at St. Boniface Church, University & 7th avenues NE.
