Sun's Rock 'n' Roll will give way to clothier

Sun's Rock 'n' Roll Items, a small independent store for music lovers that is crammed with rock star T-shirts, posters, and other odds and ends, is closing at 1111 Hennepin Ave. S.
Owner Don Park said sales have lagged in the past two years. Before Sept. 11, 2001, the store took in about $200,000 a year, now Park pulls in about $100,000, he said.
Terrance Lappin, the property owner, called Sun's an "excellent tenant" over the years. Lappin owns other property in the neighborhood and said business has been down at other stores, too.
