Former East Bank tea shop becomes dog palace

A store for pampered pets will replace a tea shop in the Old St. Anthony shopping district of the Nicollet Island/East Bank neighborhood in May.
Vitala Tea has closed at 312 E. Hennepin Ave. after about a year in business.
Brian Fulmer, owner of Bone Adventure Pet Gear and Grooming, meanwhile, is eager to open his store for pet lovers this spring on the East Bank.
"I see it as this kind of burgeoning shopping and neighborhood district. We like being in a neighborhood where people live and shop," Fulmer said, who lives in Orono.
