Public Works seeking $42 million to rehab 10th Avenue Bridge

The Public Works Department is seeking $42 million to rehab the 10th Avenue Bridge — a four-lane bridge that runs parallel to the I-35W bridge.

Despite previous rehabilitation work, the open-spandrel arch bridge continues to deteriorate, according to a presentation to the City Council’s Intergovernmental Relations Committee on Thursday.

If funding is secured, the rehab project would involve repairing deteriorated concrete areas on the spandrel columns, arches and floor beams.
