Snow shoveling help needed
The Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches is looking for people to shovel sidewalks for senior citizens and people with disabilities.
The council will pay interested persons $10-$12 an hour for their efforts. The council has partnered with the city on the outreach program called Handyworks. Minneapolis requires all homeowners to clear snow from their sidewalks within 24 hours of a snowstorm. Other apartment and commercial building owners are required to shovel four hours after a heavy snowfall ends.
