Food: Three bites on Washington

A couple of years ago, city leaders floated plans to turn Washington Avenue into a grand boulevard lined with trees and green space — a friendly streetscape for bikers and pedestrians.

Well, it’s not exactly green yet and while there are more bikers and pedestrians Downtown these days, it remains a pretty intimidating roadway dominated by cars. However, in the four years I’ve lived on Washington, something has dramatically improved — the cuisine. We have great bar fare, coal-fired pizza and upscale dining options.
