New Vikings stadium design unveiled

If you like glass, you’re going to love the new Minnesota Vikings stadium that will soon shine on downtown’s east side.
The new football stadium will have an enormous clear roof that slants downward toward to the south and also boast the largest pivoting glass doors in the world, according to designs revealed by HKS Inc. Architects on May 13.
The architects are applying for LEED certification and plan to use the glass roof to collect sunlight that can heat the facility in the wintertime.
