City Hall update: Appeals court rules in citys favor in Loring Park developer lawsuit

The Minnesota Court of Appeals on May 3 ruled that the city of Minneapolis did not violate a developer’s due process rights in 2004, but upheld a district court decision saying the City Council was unfair when it ruled against the developer.

The ruling means the city won’t have to pay $526,000 in attorney fees and damages, which the Hennepin County District Court had awarded to the developer.
