A noisy week of bridge construction
Body:
The week ahead will be a noisy one near the Interstate 35W bridge construction site, the Minnesota Department of Transportation reported.
Construction crews were scheduled to drill on the north side of the bridge, causing noise and vibrations for about three days. The drilling was required to install steel supports known as H-piles ahead of excavation work for the highway entrance and exit ramps.
MnDOT reported the work would be “less disruptive” than pile driving that took place in November.
