FAIR school students and Women In Landscape Architecture designed a temporary public park today near the Target headquarters on Nicollet Mall in celebration of International Park(ing) Day.
International Park(ing) Day is a worldwide annual event, held the third Friday in September. The event brings together artists, activists and citizens to celebrate public space in urban areas.
The project launched in 2005 when San Franciscan art and design studio, Rebar, created a makeshift public park from a single metered space. It has now expanded to more than 35 countries.
