Police recover hundreds of items stolen from parking garage next to Hyatt hotel

A 34-year-old North Minneapolis man was charged Tuesday with identity theft and felon and possession of ammunition in connection with hundreds of thefts from Minneapolis cars, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office announced.

Calvin Maurice Rogers is suspected of stealing nearly 300 items, including many from the parking garage next to the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, 1300 Nicollet Mall. Stolen items include guns, Social Security cards, cellphones, luggage, computers, wedding gifts and a violin, among other things.
